A few things about me
Howdy I’m Martin,
I have been using cameras since I was around the age of four, my first camera was a Polaroid i-Zone Pocket Instant Camera in blue, this little camera printed sticky 1.5 x 1 inch instant pictures, this quickly followed up by an Olympus C-220 Zoom, a whopping 2MP sensor (not bad at all for the early 2000’s), this was due to my Mum and Dad being fed up of buying the film for that little Polaroid.
Apart from that I’ve used nearly every camera under the sun. Ranging from 35mm disposable cameras, AGFA Isolette 1, Zenit, Lomo LC-A (original Soviet) and the more modern LC-A+, Canon’s FD, EF-s, EF and RF cameras, Nikon’s, Panasonic, Sony (Digital Video & Tape), Fujifilm, Kodak Brownie boxes, pinholes, Polaroid camera, Instax cameras and Leica.
Least to say, I have a lot of experience with both digital and analogue photography. I was once a Fujifilm lab technician as well, so I have a plethora of processing, printing and darkroom knowledge plus experience.
I still have a romantic view on photography, both analogue and digital. I love the warmth that film gives, and I love the opportunity that digital images give, as you can make something more of it.
I love the memories I can create with photography, often of people or experiences throughout my life, of which I will only get one chance at.
Take it easy!
